Latest update: New feature SmartTake aims to tackle the influence of negative news
SmartNews launched a new feature called SmartTake in order to help users combat the anxiety triggered by regularly consuming negative news. SmartTake claims to offer a selection of uplifting content, including editor’s picks, useful articles and calming graphics. Isolated to a single tab in the app, the new feature is designed for users to read through its stories without being disturbed by other negative news content found elsewhere in the app. However, reports showed that the effect of SmartTake still remains to be seen.
